COMMUNITY TREATMENT FORMAT

Community Acupuncture treatments take place with multiple people in the same quiet treatment space.  Patients are seated in comfortable reclining chairs or on a portable military-style cot/bed.

Manuela will review your Health History Form before your scheduled treatment time, and you will have the opportunity for a confidential conversation about your case right before the actual treatment.

Treatment areas generally include the extremities (legs, feet, arms, hands, head, ears). Please wear loose clothing that allows for the rolling up of sleeves and pant legs just above the elbows and knees. In select cases that require the local needling of the upper/mid/lower back and abdominal areas, draping for additional patient comfort and privacy will be provided.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot to fill out your Health History and Consent Forms package. Longevity GATEWAY Acupuncture also provides secure and HIPAA-compliant online forms prior to the event.

TREATMENT MODALITIES

Community Acupuncture treatments will make use of a select and portable toolbox of acupuncture modalities, such as:

- Acupuncture (of various styles and needling techniques, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Classical, TCM, Orthopedic (incl. "Dry Needling") styles)

- Electro-Acupuncture

- ASP needles (semi-permanent needles, as in Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) Protocol and other Auricular Protocols; Manuela is one of the few acupuncturists officially trained to administer ASP needles and the BFA protocol)

- Moxibustion (various styles, including Chinese, Japanese)
