Manuela Meier, M.Ac., Lic.Ac., Dipl.Ac., Ph.D. (Harvard, in Comp.) is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist (NCBAHM - National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, formerly NCCAOM). Manuela holds an acupuncture license for the State of Massachusetts, where she owns and runs a private practice in the heart of Cambridge, MA.

Before opening her own practice, Manuela treated patients in the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Malden Hospital Pain Clinic and the Boston Medical Center (BMC) Department of Internal Medicine.

Manuela Meier specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic sports injuries and physical activity-related conditions, post-surgical recovery and pain management, serving the region's athletes, dancers, musicians, martial artists and professions that rely heavily on performance maintenance of their physical structure, strength, flexibility and endurance, whilst also supporting the mental aspects that are part of the intense demands and the high-yield workload of these professions.

Manuela Meier graduated from the oldest recognized professional acupuncture school in the US, the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at MCPHS University (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences) with a Master degree in Acupuncture (Chinese Acupuncture), with an additional specialization and Minor Degree in Japanese Acupuncture styles. Manuela is also one a small number of official providers of the BFA protocol ("Battlefield Acupuncture") and related modern auricular acupuncture protocols based on neuroscientific research, trained in the specific application and use of semi-permanent ASP needles to alleviate a range of acute and chronic pain conditions, and for sports performance enhancement.

In addition to being a licensed acupuncturist, Manuela Meier is also a professional musician and performer with a Ph.D degree in Composition from Harvard University, and has previously held an Assistant Professorship position in Composition and Music Theory.

Manuela Meier's acupuncture practice is also informed by her two-decades-long practice of the martial art of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Qigong.

Manuela Meier uniquely blends the softness and subtleness of Japanese acupuncture with modern sports acupuncture, orthopedic acupuncture, auricular acupuncture and ancient classical acupuncture styles. Her precision, dexterity and attention to minute detail are skill sets and knowledge that she has built not only in the field of acupuncture but also over decades in her training and career as both professional musician and long-standing practitioner of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Qigong. Manuela's goal is to help professionals to maintain their health, physical and mental performance at their highest possible levels, providing support to ensure the longevity of their abilities and future potential.
